Thankfully, it'southward now working.

For information this is what happened. Device Manager did non run. A pop upward bulletin stated "This app has been blocked for your protection. An administrator has blocked you from running this app. For more information contact the administrator ... mmc.exe ..."

This happened fifty-fifty later the PC had been turned off several times and also completely off overnight.

I then ran Restart from the start menu, just this got stuck and I somewhen had to unplug the PC to restart. After this Device Manager worked.

I think this may have happened one time earlier and may accept been after a Windows Update.

I am having the same effect. Not just the Device Manager, I tin't open IIS, Local Security Policy etc. I restarted the machine a few minutes.

Is this a joke? I take this outcome at present also on my Windows 10 laptop, more often than not since the concluding update from Tuesday. How incompetent is Microsoft? This is unbelievable. Windows blocking it's own device manager because it has "no trusted certificate"? Seriously?

Hello all,

I've exact the same issue on my laptop since updates installation a couple nights ago.

Must add: authoritative tools are non working either [Services, Functioning Monitor, Resource Monitor, etc].

I am logged as administrator and running the suggested control line did not piece of work.

Please suggest.

Attempt to disable and enable the administrator account Run CMD > blazon in net user administrator /active:no. Reinstall it again.

I'm having the exact same upshot.

running "cyberspace user administrator /active:yes"results in "System error five has occurred" Admission is Denied.

I get the aforementioned error with cyberspace user ambassador /agile:no
